One of the university project, which fascinated me. This project was aimed to convey a story through the photographic sequence and it could be based upon the book, film or real life event.
I have chosen 451 Fahrenheit, because I loved the dark atmosphere that it gives out. Another chose was "1968" but I had though it was too long and hard for the models to pose for it (as it is much more romantically intense than 451 Fahrenheit).
I may have romanticised the relationship between Montag and Clarisse much more than it is in the book, but this whole photoshoot was aimed at showing the relationship between the two people.
The story of this photoshoot, is of two lovers reading the same book and then fantasising or dreaming about it. They both have a Polaroid of each other.
Through out the whole project I was drawn to wards the expression of light, it's relationship with the darkness. This had helped me convey an emotional states and feel of the book, as it is extremely dark. In order to separate the characters of Clarisse and Mildred, I picked different colour accents for them: Clarisse- warm, yellow; Mildred- cold, blue.
